The Siberian Husky

Siberian puppies are cute, soft & fuzzy. It is easy to fall in love with a baby Siberian. However, the Siberian Husky is not a dog for everyone.

Siberians require a lot of exercise on a daily basis. They are truly a working breed and need to be worked regularly. A Siberian that is left home alone all day while the owners are at work will usually find ways to burn energy engaging in activities that will not please the owner upon returning home.

A lot of dedication to daily exercise, having patience and understanding certainly helps to raise a happy Siberian. Happy Siberian Huskies are sweet and loving companions that are friendly to all people as well as other dogs.

If you are an active outdoorsy type who enjoys long hikes or bike rides, and do not mind seasonal shedding and grooming, Siberian Husky might be the breed for you.

Please know that a fenced in yard is a must for this type of a dog. If you own other pets such as cats, rabbits, Guinea pigs, or similar little pets, please beware that Siberians tend to have a very strong prey drive and may cause harm to such pets.
